ACE IPI 2009 Advent Recollection
| The 2009 Advent Recollection with the theme,“ PASKO: SALO-SALO SA PAMILYA”, with professional facilitators Rey and Mel Sangalang, gave the almost 95 participants a memorable venue of having able to express themselves?the parents with their children, the couples with their respective spouses and the children with their siblings. |  |

During the workshop, each group was tasked to come out with a particular symbol or design out of the different paper materials and supplies given them. Each group also had a name., e.g. “Parol ng Buhay, Tanglaw ng Liwanag, Cross of Life and six others. The group’s leader reported on their own insights as to the meaning of their symbols. |
| Through this activity, the individual uniqueness and creativity of the parents and youth members were challenged; teamwork and cooperation was enhanced and realized even more that their willingness to listen, share and be open to new ideas and suggestions are most important if they were to complete a particular project. | |
Aside from the workshop, there were lectures, group dynamics, group sharing and open forum that enabled most of, notably the parents, to speak their mind on the value of forgiveness, understanding, patience and intimacy- being the keys to smooth and strong family relationships. |

The gathering further gave the youth members an opportunity to know each other and give camaraderie and cooperation a real good chance to work. The essence of putting God at the center of their lives was the biggest lesson in the Recollection. |

Despite the long hours, from 8:00 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening at the Clubhouse, Area 7, Sucat, Paranaque (relatively small to comfortably accommodate a good attendance) the entire group nonetheless remained all ears and eyes as they received their family Christmas gift packages, towards the end of the gathering. ACE IPI staff and officers also remain very hopeful that as more sessions like this could be conducted, the target Y4Y families would continue experiencing the Love, the Hope of that One Powerful Creator.
