A Journey of Faith

Handog Mo ,Kinabukasan Ko” Fund Campaign Given Boost

Gratitude indeed is the memory of the heart. And ACE IPI expresses this by giving due recognition to the commitment and continuing generosity of its volunteers, friends, members and supporters every 2 nd week of March of each year.

Manifesting its utmost gratitude to the Ultimate Giver of Life, a Eucharistic Celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Lambert Legaspino, ACE IPI’s Spiritual Adviser, was the very first part of the Appreciation Dinner-program held on 12 th of March 2011, at the lovely home of regular member and donor-couple- Eric and Selie Tajon.

ACE IPI President, Virgie Bruce with members of the Bruce family, representing Dr. JoyBruce.
The gathering was attended by about 150 persons. Fr. Legaspino reiterated the importance of spreading the love of God to the aged and the young. Together with ACE IPI President, Virginia Bruce, he also encouraged all present to continue rendering their share as they further led the community to a simultaneous reading of a Pledge of Commitment.

Message from Dr. Joy Bruce for the ACEIPI Anniversary 2011.
During the sumptuous dinner, a video clip of Dr. Joy Bruce, ACE IPI’s Chair of the Board (who is based in Florida, US) relaying her inspirational message was shown. The written message sent by Ms. Vicki Neri, Vice President of the Chapter in Cagayan de Oro was also read. A brief summary of ACE IPI’s modest achievements for the past 5 years was proudly relayed by VP-NCR, Tessie Gomez. A youth member-beneficiary who has already graduated from college then shared her life story while a mother-member also took the center stage together with her family.

Both of them related how ACE IPI created an impact in their lives through programs that gave access to academic education, gradually changed their sense of values, strengthened their Faith and helped develop a positive attitude. After the usual “Toast to Success” led by Virgie Bruce, the Certificates of Appreciation and gift bags that were hand painted by the children in conflict with the law at CRADLE were presented to the representatives from partner-organizations and other individual donors and volunteers.

Highlighted also during the anniversary celebration is the continuing promotion of the Fund raising campaign, Handog Mo, Kinabukasan Ko, launched late December, 2010 and which aims to raise P250,000 only specifically to provide supplementary support in response to the needs of young offenders/children- in-conflict with the law confined in the CRADLE facility in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan as well as of youth from selected poor communities in Paranaque City. The campaign is conducted thru selling of tickets worth P50.00 each and will run until its raffle draw on May 27, 2011. It has a DSWD solicitation permit No. NCR 002-2011.
