| Ace is music to the ears of a golfer. An “ace” is achieved once your ball gets in the hole with just one shot or stroke. | ||
| ACE could also be music to the ears of a young student in a public high school. This student is confident. Deep in his heart, he believes that as long as he strives to better himself thru education, the ACE that he knows, assuredly, shall accompany him in his journey. In fact, this same ACE, persistent in its efforts and true to its mission, undertakes an annual sourcing-project and mobilizes its modest resources, precisely to help support his needs and the needs of other indigent yet deserving young persons dreaming of a bright future. | ||

| Held last 29 March 2012 at the sprawling greenery of the Orchard Golf and Country Club at Dasmarinas, Cavite, the Golf Tournament was the major fund-raising activity of ACE IPI for the year. With the Tournament’s theme” An Ace to a Bright Future”, ACE IPI was able to raise approximately P 430,000.00 in net proceeds that could initially sustain its flagship- the Youth for Youth (Y4Y) program which to date, supports almost 77 youth in the secondary, vocational and college levels. | ||

Unmindful of the downpour, 43 golf enthusiasts completed the game-up to the 18th hole, with no less than Mr.James Ileto, Union Bank’s First Vice-President for Global Filipino Business, hitting the ceremonial first ball. About 28 individuals and companies, including the PLDT, and led by Tournament Hosts- Bruce Institute of Technology and Union Bank generously sponsored the project. | |
| Young golfers, Nikki and Sam Bruce also graciously displayed their skills, in support of this activity. Aside from a good lunch and various giveaways, 38 gift items worth about P47,000 and 5 major prizes worth P18,000 were raffled-to everyone’s delight. There were also 6 winners who received their trophies. Overall Tournament Champion is Mr. Roberto Rosales. Some youth beneficiaries and parents served as volunteers. |

| Despite being an amateur in handling golf tournaments, ACE IPI nevertheless showed, with the Divine guidance, how an utmost resolve to challenge the status quo and the commitment to share could spell success. For ACE IPI, there is no turning back, as it continuously strives, as best as it can, in creating “visions of tomorrow” and in building bright futures for some underserved Filipino children and youth. | ||
