ACE IPI NCR

ANNUAL ACTIVITY PLAN 2011

(Based on the Program Chart)

 

  1.     SECTORAL PROGRAMS:

General Objective:  TO HELP PROMOTE THE TOTAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE OF MARGINALIZED CHILDREN AND ELDERS WHO ARE UNDER REHABILITATION AND/OR RESIDENTIAL CARE.

 

A.  CRADLE: (Minimum of 45 to maximum of 80 cicl at any given time)

                   To be continued:

ü      Values Formation/Catechetical session every Wednesday

ü      Painting Class, 3 Fridays a month

ü      Eucharistic Celebrations every 2nd Friday

ü      Prison Awareness Week,  Valentine, Christmas and Easter celebrations

ü      Monthly supply of basic toiletries and cleaning aids

ü      Occasional support e.g. prizes, paraphernalia for other CRADLE initiated-activities

ü      Counseling, case-to-case

ü      Once-a year provision of t-shirts & shorts for all cicl

ü      Meetings with Authorities and other volunteers as called by the Warden

ü      Occasional home visits of parents of cicl, as needed

 

To be started:

ü      Summer Values Formation to be conducted by seminarians from Diocese of Parañaque.

ü      Musical presentation-competition

 

B.     ELDERS: (Average of 120 at any given time)

To be continued:  Twice a year Visits/outreach to “Ang Tahanan ni Maria” for the indigent Elderly.

 

To be started:  Visit to Sagip-buhay and other centers, depending on availability of sponsors.

 

 

C.    CHILDREN:

To be started:  Visit to orphanage or centers for abandoned children, depending on availability of sponsors.

 

    II.   YOUTH FOR YOUTH PROGRAM:

General Objective:  TO SUPPORT AND IMPLEMENT PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING OPPORTUNITIES THAT HELP PROMOTE YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

 

A.      VALUES FORMATION:

     Specific Objective:  To conduct and/or support projects and   activities that help in the spiritual and moral development of the youth including the enrichment of their interpersonal relationships among and between members of their families.

 

       To be continued:

ü      Family Enrichment Sessions for one year:

-Paranaque:

    --Three (3) separated sessions for either youth or parents –64

        youth  (max.no.) and 51 mothers and/or fathers (max. no.)

    --Eight (8) joint sessions for the youth & parents-110 (5 couples)

        participants (max.no.)

        

                            -Kalookan:

                                 --Once-a-month for the youth-at least 15 participants

                                 --Thrice-a-year only for parents -24 participants (max. no.)

 

                             -Annual Recollection/Values Formation Graduation and Christmas Fellowship - 106 participants (max.no.) for both areas and 13 volunteers.

ü      Counseling, case to case

ü      Weekly Catechism by the Rogationist Brothers (50 children & youth)

ü      Monitoring/encouraging present youth members and their parents to follow the pertinent Retention Requirements as Beneficiaries of ACE IPI Support  Regular participation in Sunday Masses; Block Rosary, Marian Cenacle; Catechism, Youth Unity Parish (YUP), Tambayan (SIKLAB) of OLUP,  Blessed Sacrament visits, mass servers and Parish Choir.

 

 

 

              B.   EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE:

               Specific Objective: To help support qualified youth in selected areas in Paranaque and Kalookan cities in the access and pursuance of their academic education, including vocational training.

                      Targets:

                            42Youth for Paranaque and 12 youth for Kalookan

 

                   To be continued:

ü      A one-time support of school supplies and special projects for elementary and high school students

ü      Restricted sponsorship of P2,500 for tuition fees and P1,000 for fare-support (per semester) to qualified/selected members enrolled in a public college school/university.** (Parañaque – 14; Kalookan – 2 or 16 youth)

ü      Daily traveling fare-support (one school year) for 30 qualified high school members; (28 - Paranaque-; Kalookan-10)

ü      Area Coordinators’ visits to families and school of members.

ü      Counseling, as seen necessary, for problem cases.

ü      Provision of Datamex Vocational Course/Training Certificates

ü      Allowing internet access to some youth members for their research assignments/homework.

                 

                     To be started:

ü      Acceptance of additional possible qualified beneficiaries for SY 2011-2012 in Paranaque.  Target: about 19 youth with varied support.

 

B.      COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT:

 

Specific Objective: To conduct and/or support projects and activities that help build the intellectual and mental capabilities of the youth and develop their skills and leadership potentials.

 

To be continued:

ü      Summer Tutorial classes in Kalookan-at least 15 youth

ü      English Proficiency & Math Classes only for Paranaque- 15 participants

ü      Summer Computer Workshop/Education** (Basic –12participants; Advanced –12 participants)**

ü      Araw ng Pasasalamat”/Recognition day

ü      Access to parish-based Leadership Seminar for selected Y4Y Core Group (15 participants)**

ü      Summer Painting Class (28 participants)

ü      Individual coaching for selected youth and parent members on documentation and activity facilitation-skills.

D.    COMMUNITY ACTION/VOLUNTEERISM:

Specific Objective: To help provide opportunities and venues where youth members could initiate, lead, inspire, assist and/or participate in the projects and activities that benefit their co-youth, their families and/or their communities.

 

To be continued:

ü      Active participation in special parish-based activities or those activities in the community that involve facilitating/handling programs for specific groups, e.g. children/kids, etc.

ü      Participation in Cleanliness drive and/or other related projects initiated in the any of the target communities.

ü      Youth and Parents leading in prayer for every activities

 

III.                ADVOCACY AND NETWORKING:

Objective: TO PARTICIPATE IN VENUES AND PROJECTS THAT PROMOTE PROTECTION, WELFARE AND JUSTICE FOR CHILDREN AND ELDERS IN A COLLECTIVE EFFORT TO INFLUENCE GOVERNMENT POLICIES AND INSTITUTIONALIZE CHANGES AS NEEDED.

 

A.     MEMBERSHIP IN ALLIANCES:

 

                     To be Continued:                      

ü      Attendance to the Annual Assembly of Jail Volunteers called by the BJMP-NCR/PRAISED.

ü      Renewal of membership with the Phil. Action for Youthful Offenders (PAYO)

                 

 

     

B.      Resource Mobilization:

 

To be continued:

ü      Write sponsorship letters/project proposals as needed; tapping of individual sponsors for regular educational support.

ü      Renewal of tie-ups with Phil. Jaycees and Covenants, Inc.

ü      A simple celebration of the ACE IPI anniversary with donors, (About 100 persons)

ü      Set up of Facebook page for ACE IPI.

 

To be started:

ü      Fund Raising Scheme thru Selling of Tickets

 

 

IV.               LIVELIHOOD PROJECT:

               Objective:  TO HELP THE FAMILIES OF YOUTH MEMBERS AUGMENT PRESENT FAMILY EARNINGS THROUGH AN ACCESS TO INCOME GENERATING/ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECTS INCLUDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING AND MARKETING.

   

To be continued:

ü      Increased production and direct selling/marketing of powdered soap, liquid detergent, fabric conditioner and cleaning aid (chlorox) by the Y4Y mothers and private individuals interested to sell.

 

ü      Continuing promotion and sales of Christmas cards and other items hand painted by the cicl

              

ü      Encouraging more parents of Y4Y youth members to go into livelihood.

 

V.                 SUPPORT SERVICES:

Objective:  TO HELP PROVIDE, ON A SUPPLEMENTARY AND COMPLEMENTARY LEVEL, THE TARGET BENEFICIARIES THEIR MATERIAL NEEDS PARTICULARLY THOSE THAT ARE URGENT AND/OR EMERGENCY IN NATURE.

 

                   To be continued:

ü      Provide intervention aid during emergency/crisis e.g. purchase of medicines; house visits to released cicl

ü      Work on referral system e.g., for hospitalization; studies, etc.

ü      Support to families of inmates.

                  

VI.               ADMINISTRATIVE/ OFFICE OPERATIONS:

Objective: TO PROVIDE CLERICAL SUPPORT, DELIVERY SERVICES AND OTHER TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO ENSURE THAT PROGRAMS, PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES ARE EFFICIENTLY IMPLEMENTED AS PLANNED.

 

                  To be continued:

ü      Filing of all government reportorial requirements and renewal of licenses.

ü      Monitoring system re status of Y4Y beneficiaries re studies, attendance in values formation sessions and forms of assistance given.

ü      Improving the filing system

ü      Facilitating on time, the preparations of needed materials and other paraphernalia for activities to be conducted.

ü      Submission of periodic (Annual or Monthly) Reports to donors and to DSWD.

ü      Coaching/supervision of volunteers re office tasks.

ü      Annual Assessment and Planning Session.

ü      Annual updating of ACE IPI Website updates

 

               To be started:

 

ü      Review of organizational set-up and Board membership

ü      Standard/uniform format/framework of Reports for both NCR and CdO.      

 

To be purchased:

ü      At least two (2) computer units for Basic and Advanced Computer Education           

 

VII.             REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE:

          To be started:  

ü      Repainting of office (Subject to availability of funds)
