ACEIPI President Celebrates Birthday with Abandoned Elders and Children

July 24, 2013 was a milestone-year for 70 year-old Virgie Mendoza Bruce, ACEIPI President who turned down her children’s plan to make a big natal celebration. Virgie instead chose to visit, together with the staff and volunteers, 2 facilities for the indigent and abandoned: Ang Tahanan ni Maria, Cavite (for Elders) and the Perpetual Help Children's Home in Taal, Batangas.

Each of the 80 abandoned elders were treated to a packed lunch, adult diapers, goodies and some cash.  A short program in honor of the celebrant was presented by the elders. Everyone truly enjoyed the special occasion.  Meanwhile, a donation of 2 cans of biscuits, goodies and cash assistance were given to Perpetual Help Children's Home. However, the children at the time of the visit were still in school for their classes.  But the Home Administrator was overwhelmed with gratitude.
It was indeed a celebration of love and service.  May God bless Virgie with more and more birthdays!
